Janie can do an overview with Q & A time with your students concerning the "real" writing profession or even create a program that will fit your classroom needs.
Selected subjects of interest might be: Internet research and citing sources, plagiarism, pre-writing is non-negotiable, how to create three-dimensional characters, settings, and plots, how to make stories more alive by using voice and senses and, of course, editing and revision.

Preparation:
Handouts for the program will be emailed to the teacher, two weeks prior, for students to look over. Students will need to bring handouts to the program for reference and should keep them in a folder for future use.
Teachers are requested to contact Janie, by email, two weeks prior to their program, to discuss any particular concerns or outcome that they would like to see stressed.
